Re:  Parent Volunteer Information

Safe Environment Training/Level II Background Screening

Parent Volunteers,

In order to fully take advantage of all parent volunteer opportunities that our school has to offer throughout the school year, the Diocese requires school volunteers to go through Safe Environment Training as well as a Level II Background Screening. Parents are required to complete the online Safe Environment training and bring a copy of the certificate to the school.  The school will receive fingerprinting clearance from the Level II Background Screening via email from the Diocese.  Once both requirements are fulfilled, parent volunteers will be able to be around school children during school hours.

To complete the certification process:

Safe Environment Online Training:

  1. Go to cmconnect.org to complete your online Safe Environment course.

Once completed, please download and print your certificate, and bring to

the school office.

Level II Background Screening:

  1. Go to https://www.dospsep.org to sign up for your Level II background screening.

The cost is $51.00 and is valid for 5 years. You can’t put a price tag on the safety

of our children.

For any questions, please contact the Office of the Safe Environment Training Program within the Diocese of St. Petersburg at 727-344-1611, ext. 5303.
