Sacred Heart Saints Prayer During Lent

During this third week of Lent, our student leaders encouraged students to bring in long-sleeve t-shirts for our brothers and sisters who are migrant workers. As our alms-giving this season of Lent, we are asking for long sleeve t-shirt donations for migrant farmers as they work in the fields with exposure to sun and chemicals. SGA went around and spoke with the students about this need.

Today, as we prepare to enter into our fourth week of Lent, we ask the Lord to help form a newheartwithin us. Let us pray:

"God of Peace,
your Word, Jesus Christ, spoke peace
      to a sinful world
and brought humankind
      the gift of reconciliation
by suffering and death he endured.
Teach us, the people who bear his name,
to follow the example he gave us.
May our faith, hope, and charity
turn hatred to love, conflict to peace,
       death to eternal life.
We ask this through Christ our Lord."

Eighth Graders Lead our Scholars in
the Stations of the Cross

Throughout this season of Lent, our 8th graders are leading K-4 through the Stations of the Cross. Our Church has set-up beautiful stations posters by the parking lot, and at night they are lit up with purple lights. EachThursdaythroughout Lent, 8th grade is praying with one of our younger grades through the Stations.

Try to stop by the stations at night to see them and to spend time in prayer this season of Lent.

In addition, please join us at 2:00pm on Friday, April 7th in the Parish hall, as 5th grader acts out the stations of the cross for our entire school community.

Stations of the Cross at Sacred Heart Church: Everyone is welcome to pray the Stations of the Cross, every Friday during Lent after the 8:00am Mass and the 6:00pm Mass.
